“For, while the tale of how we suffer, and how we are delighted, and how we may triumph is never new, it always must be heard. There isn’t any other tale to tell, it’s the only light we’ve got…”

What it’s like to work with Brooke

Brooke’s clients appreciate how natural it feels to let their guard down and be themselves in meeting with her. As a naturally curious and caring person, Brooke helps clients identify their pain, longings, and the changes they need in order to feel better in life. Brooke’s clients value how clearly she explains the counseling process, making healing and growth understandable and accessible. Brooke’s focus is to help her clients find their voice and grow in connection, personal power, and courage.

A Note From Brooke

What gets me excited is helping people find their path, their voice, and excitement about themselves both as an individual and in relationship with others. I love seeing people’s perspectives shift from feeling alone to recognize the common threads in life—that all of us need to be loved, and that we connect best through sharing our vulnerability and taking risks to love and to live.

I feel honored to hear my clients’ stories, and to be let in on their deepest needs, wounds, pain, and desires. From these places, some of the most beautiful experiences, connections, and relationships can flourish. Facilitating growth, change, healing, and connection for others is one of the most fulfilling opportunities I have each day in my work at Colorado Counseling Center.

Coming from a big family, I learned how to navigate the complexities of family life, and to find my own voice. Through many personal experiences, I understand that life is hard at times, and that grief can be overwhelming. I’ve also experienced the incredible transformation that happens when I do the scariest thing—when I vulnerably share who I really am with others. Here is where I have found the connection and safety I have been looking for.

I have the heart to help you heal, the courage to help you realize your true self, and the experience to help you transform your life. I’m committed to helping you connect to the people you love the most.”

“To love someone fiercely, to believe in something with your whole heart, to celebrate a fleeting moment in time, to fully engage in a life that doesn’t come with guarantees—these are risks that involve vulnerability and often pain. But I’m learning that leaning into the discomfort of vulnerability teaches us how to live with joy, gratitude, and grace.”
