What it’s like to work with Ross

Clients describe Ross as deeply caring and empathetic, creating a safe space where they feel truly heard and understood. He has a heart for people, and works to help them see their own strength, unique humanity, and potential for growth. Ross’s calm and encouraging demeanor fosters trust, allowing clients to confidently navigate and explore their unique paths. He empowers each client to tap into their true self and embrace their capacity for growth and change.

A Counselor Who Understands Life’s Complexity

As a man in his 50s, Ross brings a wealth of personal and professional life experience to his counseling work. Having navigated decades of life’s ups and downs—career changes, family responsibilities, relationship challenges, and personal growth—he understands the struggles that many clients face.

Ross’s maturity and lived experiences help him relate deeply to clients who may be hesitant to seek therapy, especially those concerned about connecting with a therapist who truly “gets it.” His compassionate, grounded perspective makes him an ideal partner for exploring life’s challenges, whether you’re navigating midlife transitions, overcoming relationship struggles, finding meaning and purpose, or facing unexpected hardships.

A Note From Ross

“After 20 years in IT/Cybersecurity, becoming a therapist has been a profound calling and a true second-half-of-life career for me. I have found more than a job—I found my vocation. I enjoy helping people who are struggling and feeling stuck to find hope within themselves and make changes that lead to a more meaningful life.”

“Clients often share that they feel deeply seen, heard, and understood in our work together. Through our collaboration, they discover their inner strength and capacity to face both personal and external challenges with growing confidence and renewed hope. As their experiences are validated, they become better equipped to embrace life’s depth and richness. It’s deeply fulfilling to accompany clients on this transformative journey.

“I believe in you! I believe in our shared human capacity for change. We all experience loss, disappointment, frustration, sadness, and worry in different ways. When we feel stuck, we can lose faith in our ability to change and grow. The therapeutic process creates a safe space to rekindle hope and tap into your inner strength, enabling you to face life’s challenges with renewed purpose.”
