Cancellation and No-Show Policy

Colorado Counseling Center’s Cancellation and No-Show Policy:

Since your appointments involve the reservation of time specifically for you, and out of respect for your therapist, a minimum of 24 hours notice is required for rescheduling or canceling an appointment. We appreciate more than 24-hour notice when possible, as we can then make that time available to other clients.

Fees for No-Shows & Late Cancellations

No-Show Fees:  Anytime you fail to attend a scheduled appointment without giving any prior notice of cancellation, you will be charged the full fee amount of your scheduled session. The credit card information or other payment information you previously provided will be used to process this payment. By providing us with your credit card information, you consent to this policy. Multiple no-shows will result in the termination of therapy.

Late Cancellation Fees:  The first session that is missed by canceling less than 24 hours in advance will be charged a $50 fee. The full fee of your scheduled session will be charged for any subsequent late cancellations. The credit card information you previously provided will be used to process this payment. By providing us with your credit card information, you consent to this policy. Repeated late cancellations may result in the termination of therapy.

Repeated late cancellations (more than two) may result in the termination of therapy. Multiple no-shows will result in the termination of therapy.

Courtesy Email Reminders

Although Colorado Counseling Center may send you email reminders about upcoming appointments, this is done as a courtesy and only if you consent to receive such communications by providing us with your email address. It remains your sole responsibility to keep track of and attend all scheduled therapy appointments, whether or not you receive the email reminder.

INCLEMENT WEATHER POLICY

Colorado Counseling Center generally follows the local public school districts for closures and delays due to inclement weather. Links are provided below.

Closures: If the corresponding school district is closed, you may cancel your scheduled appointment without penalty.   You may also choose the option to: (1) have your therapy session via phone call or video conference, or (2) reschedule that therapy session for later in the week (if possible). Contact your therapist to make a plan appropriate to the situation.

Delays: If a delay is announced by the corresponding school district, then appointments scheduled at 11:00 am and earlier may be canceled or rescheduled without penalty. Provided you make arrangements with your therapist, you also have the following options: (1) hold your therapy session via phone call or video conference; (2) make up the canceled therapy session later that day (if possible) or week; or (3) reschedule for the following week. Contact your therapist to make a plan appropriate to the situation. Therapy sessions beginning at 11:00 am and afterward will proceed as scheduled.
